Euphorbia viguieri Spiny Madagascar Succulent | Collector Plant Gift, Plant Lover Gift

Euphorbia viguieri is a sculptural Madagascan succulent with a ridged green stem, rows of strong reddish-brown spines and a tuft of fresh growth at the top. These young plants are around 15 cm tall and already show the species' bold columnar character. Over time, mature plants can develop a leafy crown that gives them a striking palm-like silhouette, making this an unusual gift for a collector of Euphorbia and dry-growing plants.

Plant Care Guide

Grow in bright light with some gentle direct sun after gradual acclimatisation. Pot into a gritty, sharply draining succulent mix. During active growth, water thoroughly and allow the compost to dry well before watering again; reduce watering in winter or whenever growth slows. Keep warm, frost-free and protected from prolonged cold wet conditions.

Shipping Information

The plant will be removed from its nursery pot and packed bare root. The roots and spiny stem will be protected carefully; unpack slowly, use gloves and pot into dry, free-draining compost soon after arrival. Allow the plant to settle before watering lightly.

Please Note

The supplied plant is a young specimen like those shown in images 001–005. Image 006 is a large mature display reference only. Euphorbia produces milky sap that can irritate skin and eyes and is harmful if eaten; wear gloves, avoid contact with the sap and keep away from children and pets.
